Ring SA Buttons from DID

We currently have a PRI with DID's coming in.

We want all incoming calls that ring into a particular DID 1234 to ring all extensions on the SA button. In addition, if a call is in progress at a particular extension, we want it to roll over and ring additional SA buttons on the sets if another call comes in.

Group call has two problems:

1. Incoming caller ID is not presented unless we hit the (More) button on the phone to display the number.

2. If we are currently on the phone, and another incoming call comes in, the phone doesn't ring on the additional SA buttons.

I'm not sure you can have it like that. You could have it ring on some number of extensions on SSA buttons. I will have to look up how maney SSA's of an extension you can have but I think it's 8. But with SSA buttons you copy the first extension's (1234) SA buttons. So you would have an SSA button of the voice, ring, & orignate(if you want, but the orignate does not ring)on 1235, 1236, 1237, 1238, ect... If you have more SA buttons on the first extension(1234) you will have to make more SSA's on the other phones.

You can do this.

The number is 10, not 8.

Up to 16 Phones can have up to 10 SSA buttons for a given extension.

(I'm talking the latest MAGIX here)

Now, is 1234 a "REAL" Telephone or a Phantom?

Real, no issues - Phantom, some one has to cover it.

You can asssign 10 SA buttons to a phone and then share all 10 of them on up to 16 other phones.

How do I map the DID to ring the SSA buttons on all 10 phones?

You just go in with SPM or with your 20L or 4424LD. get in to centeral programing, put in the extension # you want to put the SSA buttons on. Pick a button find the feature SSA, put in the extension that is numbered into the did range that you want to ring. Then what button # 01 to 10 you are sharing. & repeat for all the buttons. Then go to the next extension & do the same.

Can I use the SSA in lieu of the existing SA-Ring, SA-Voice buttons? I essentially want to emulate similar to a key system so people can hold and pick up based on the SSA buttons. We only have T1 line and no LS/GS lines.

How do I put this.. SA buttons are only for the phone thay are on & all system phones MUST have at least 2 SA buttons. You can put as many SA buttons as you want on a system phone up to 10. The SSA buttons are appearences of an other extension's SA appearences. This will let you emulate a key system... Kind of.

You only need ONE SA button of your own. Put an SA button on button 6, then delete all the others. Then start the SSA buttons with button 1 through 5, so it looks just like the "main" phone.
