I am getting message "Ring List Unavailable" when i press RING TYPE button. I am using CM 4.1.2 and 7940 cisco IP phone.

I have checked TFTPpath folder i can see ringlist.xml file available in the tftppath folder.

In status message i am getting only one error "TFTP ACCESS ERROR"

Can anyone suggest?

I've been having this same issue, although it is only on SOME phones, not all. I had hoped that upgrading the version and forcing the re-registration on all phones would clear it up but no luck... Anyone know any more about how to fix this?

Has anyone else had an issue with this? I have a handful of users that are driving me nuts asking when they'll have all of their ringers again....

Have you tried restarting the TFTP service? That fixed a few issues I was having with similar problems!

I did reset the TFTP server while updating the ring list a few weeks ago, and it cleared the problem up in one of the stores, but I still have at least one other store (that has actually reported it) with the same issue. I am going to reset all the equipment in that store and reset the TFTP server at the same time tomorrow night to force the phones to reassociate. Hopefully that clears it up... Thanks!

Does anyone know the bug ID for this? I just searched Bug Toolkit and I wasn't able to find a bug like this.

Just a quick update... I reset the TFTP server and then did a reset on all of the equipment in that store, forcing all of the phones to reassociate. This seems to have cleared up the problem. Now if it will just stay that way...

I had to make sure the phonelist.xml file had the same permisions as the distintive ringlist.xml
