Mitel 3300 MCD 4.1 platform
Currently one of the incoming DID's rings to an attendant phone and then forwards to a ring group after 3 rings. They want the call to go to an info only box after routing to the ring group if no one answers after X number of rings. My co-worker added a VM box to the ring group but it wouldn't roll there.
I work mainly on Nortel CS1000E and Mitel 5000, so I'm a little rusty on the 3300 platform.
It makes sense to me the reason it won't roll is the call looks to the first point of contact for VM and the ring group is the 2nd point of contact. Right?
If that's true, then maybe I need the call to route to a ringing group with the attendant as the only member with a VM box attached to that 1st group and then an overflow to the backup group...am I thinking about this correctly?
2nd...I didn't see anything in the assignable boxes about not allowing messages? How would I create a VM box attached to a ring group as info only?
Thanks, Jim
