I have a 3300 where a ring group doesn't overflow to a mail box after the timer expires. I have checked the settings in the ring group form and reset the controller as well.

The overflow does not take place OR the mailbox does not answer?

I suspect the latter as RG's do not integrate with VM.

With RG's you need to use some tricks to force VM to answer.

faq1329-7197

Caveat: Do not use Nametag Huntgroups to override VM integration unless the VM destination is the last hop. (Taking a message). If you use NTHG's to force the call into a AutoAtt then the next step will retain the NTHG DN and loop.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Overflow the call to a Nametag HG that has call forward always to VoiceMail. That should work including the HG number being send to the VM system.

You will have issues with turning on lamps if you associate the MB with either the Nametag Group number or the Ring Group number.

It is best to create a Keyline somewhere on the system that can be used as the MWI destination.

Then use the FAQ provided above to direct the call to a specific MB matching the Keyline.

Same caveat as before when using Nametag groups.
