I have programmed a ring group in a 3300 with 10.2.0.26_2 with a ring group that has 5 extensions in it. I have an associated voice mail "information only" mailbox that should answer if the group extensions do not.
All the extensions ring and ring and the 20 seconds goes and goes, however the caller never gets sent to the "info only" voice mail box.
Any ideas?

How are you routing to VM?

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

we are getting to the vmail box with the "overflow" option in the ring group.

are they coming from the embedded auto attendant? there is a transfer ring back timeout setting which can pull the call back to the AA if unanswered for the speficied timer amount. I believe this is in voicemail options assignment.

I had a similar scenario recently, where I set the number of the ring group to be in fact a key line CRR always to the RG which overflows to the vm, and both the ext.# and the vm# are the number of the key line.

It works very well and the bonus is that since it is a mailbox where people can leave messages they can have a messake waiting key that lights up.
