Ring extensions 26 and 27 then go to voice mail 1

Here is our configuration:

Partner ACS R7
Partner Messaging R7
Using AA to answer all calls

Here is what we are trying to accomplish:

When a potential client calls in for the sales dept, we want them to choose ext 26. We want the AA to ring both exts 26 and 27 simultaniously and if neither extensions answer, want the call to go to ext 26's voice mail.

Here is what I have tried:

I have tried to set up as a calling group (72 with 26 and 27 as members) and have the caller dial this. However, I can't get 26's voice mail to answer this call. I then tried to set up a mail box on ext 72, but the system wouldn't allow me to set up Auto VM cover on 72.

Additional info:

It is possible they will add additional sales people in the future (eg. ext 28, 29, etc) but want to have it ring all sales calls and still go to 26's voice mail.

They would prefer to use an actual extension's mailbox instead of using a virtual extension so that we have a message light indication.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance, I sure appreciate all you guys.
 
1. Set the "Transfer Return Extension" setting for EACH of the voice mail ports to point to themselves. This may already be done, if you or your installer did not follow the actual installation instructions and set them to Ext. 10. We need to take advantage of a quirk and deliberatly mis-program this setting.

2. You don't need Auto VMS Coverage for Ext. 72, the call will return to the VM port that sent it, and the Messaging will know what to do with it when it gets there.

3. In the Messaging's system administrator's mailbox, select 2 for extensions, then extension 72, then option 9 for Phantom Mailbox Destination. Make Mailbox 26 the Phantom Destination. Record an outgoing message in 72, but the incoming messages will deposit in 26.

4. That's it!!
