How can I make a employee's phone extension ring in two places (on her desk phone and on our receptionist's phone as well)? We want the receptionist to have the ability to answer calls coming in on the other person's line. The receptionist does have her own extension, by the way.

If it helps, we use SuperSet 4150 phones.

What system are you connected to?

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

You have a couple of options in the multiline set key assignment form, these being Multicall, DSS/BLF & Secreterial. Just add the employee's ext no to a spare key on the secretary's superset, go for multicall and set it to ring.

Thanks very much for your instructions. Where would I find the multiline set key assignment form? I looked in the Mitel OPS Manager and did not see it.

When you are using OPSMan you need to click on the arrow beside the keylines of the set.

This will upload the current keys of the set and allow them to be modified/added

The Multicall option is on a pull down.

Brillant, that works. For future reference, here are detailed steps for whomever may be interested:

1. Open Internet Explorer to your OPS page.
2. Click Start OPS Manager.
3. The OPS Manager will open in a Java window.
4. Click Configuration, then Directory Management, then "Moves, Adds, & Changes Editor."
5. Select appropriate extension and click Change User.
6. Scroll down to Key Assignment and expand.
7. Select an unassigned button and change the Line Type to Multicall.
8. Specify the directory number and make sure that the Ring Type is set to Ring.
9. Click the Change button to save.

I wonder if someone can help me. We use the Mitel 3300 ICP system and 5215 dual handsets. I need to know, is it possible to program a handset to receive internal calls but have external calls ring by the receptionist?

lkrull,

I recommend you start your own thread, siranthony gets notified of every response on this one.
