Hello all,

Is there anyway to make a 3904 gym phone ring the overhead speaker system without having to press any button?

gym phone pick up handset - ring PA

I have yet to come across this type of setup.

I haven't tried it but can you HOT D the paging route ACOD?

Thanks,

Buddy

Just make sure that your TGAR and TARG are not the same

Sorry all I have been out.
How would I do a Hot D?

hot d 43499 8002

43499 is the dn and its to connect to 8002 overhead paging.

on the 500 set under FTR hot d nn xxxx

n = number of digits up to 31 to dial

nn = number to dial

Thanks,

Buddy

I had the tech at the site do a test but they have no dialtone and it did not ring the overhead. Is there something else I am missing?

Set the TGAR of 000 1 02 10 to zero (TGAR 0) and test.

If that does not work, print the Trunk Route in LD21, look for MANO, then change it in LD16, setting MANO=YES

You said "3904 gym phone" with interpretation of 3904 being a digital M3904 set. Why are you then programming an analog set?

Should this be done after hours? When changing the RDB in ld 16?

GWebster...at first the tech said it was a 3904 its actually a 500 set.

You can change the RDB in the way I wrote, at any time without issues.

I take it the TGAR 0 did not fix it? If it did, no need to change the RDB of course.

GHTrout thanks I will update MANO.
Yes TGAR 0 did not do anything.

I updated it on the RDB to MANO YES, all it does is create a solid tone and does not hit the overhead PA system.

Maybe let's back up and define what 8002 is. Print that and all it is associated with, including any trunks and routes.
