I have a 0x32 that rings all calls from the PSTN with the same ring cadence as an intercom call. This trouble seems to be on all of the exts. Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Ken

On ext. calls you should get a ring of 2 short bursts and a outside calls should ring 1 steady burst but the same tone. What software are you using?

That's right but we are getting 2 bursts on outside calls.

Ver 3.0

Thanks

Did this problem just start happening?

If so, try a system reboot to see if reboot fixes the problem.

Good Luck!!

Problem started after a UPS took a nose dive. Reboot has not cleared the trouble. Maybe it took a power spike.

I have seen this happen, we moved a cusomer's Norstar to a new building which was in a location which required them to use a new Telco provider. That's what we thought was the issue however when we'd check the lines using a test set, the lines rang in properly. ITAS said they had never heard of this happening, we too tried to reboot the system and nothing seem to work. Our customer just finally accepted it, although they didn't want to because everything worked ok at the old location. I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't know of anyway to resolve this what we didn't try was a different KSU, but if you have one or can get cheap I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. Let me know if you find a way to fix this.

Good Luck

Roldan,
Did you try defaulting the software?

PhM

Arr,

No I didn't try this either, I think at this point the customer was tired of the techs trying to fix it and finally just accepted that I was going to work this way. But I guess tha twouldn't have been a bad idea to try, I'll have to remember that one.

I had the same problem, and it turned out to be a telco issue.
I was able to duplicate it on a test set.
