ring but not appear

On a 3x8 DR5, how can i get a line to ring at a set, but not appear. I need the extra buttons.

Set to ring only and it will come in on the intercom key

That was not a programming option for lines on DR-5.
You might be able to set up a SERVICE MODE that is always on with the sets that you want to ring. I no longer have a 3x8, so cannot experiment for you.
