ring both extensions 1

I have a customer that has a 5212 phone with a dn of 8336. this extension has voicemail. They also have an analog ext of 4101. this extension does not have voicemail. When someone calls 8336 they want 4101 to ring at the same time. 4101 is a number not known to anybody, they just use it to call out. I thought about switching the dn's so 4101 is the prime dn on the 5212 and 8336 is the dn for the analog extension with voicemail. I was going to assign a muticall of 8336 on the 5212 so when 8336 is called both phones will ring, however when a message is left the 5212 will not light up indicating a voicemail message. anbody have any ideas on how to do this, or set up 1 mailbox for both extensions?

Your options are limited.

The simplest method is to route the IP set on an always condition to the analog set. Then have a Key appearance of the analog set on the IP set for ringing. The IP set would also have a 1st alt route destination of the Voicemail.

The analog set should also have Busy no answer routing to VM.

Voicemail would integrate with the DN of the IP set and flash on same.

Both phones would ring at same time and be answerable on either.

Not perfect by any means but it would work.
