How do I make the system ring to all phones when a call comes in?

If you're running in Key mode, it shouldn't be a problem. Make sure the line(s) appear on every phone and that ringing is set to immediate.

In Hybrid/PBX mode, it's important to know how many phones we're talking about. If the phone rings at say an Operator console, then adding a simple cover button for up to eight stations will do the trick.

If there are more than eight phones involved, you will have to cascade the coverage. In other words, the eight that cover for the Operator would in turn get covered by different extensions. The Operator triggers a ring for the first layer of eight phones, and each of those eight could trigger up to eight different phones each. By the time you got to that second layer, you could potentially have 72 phones ringing. I don't know if that's the very best way to do this, or if there is any limitation to doing it that way.

I have one customer (a big warehouse) that needed more than eight phones to ring at once, and this is how I made that happen.

Dagwoodsystems,

Operator coverage Past the 8 Extension Limit
Operator Coverage to ring at all Phones / Extensions

I Created a New Thread Specific to my needs:

I have attempted to apply dagwoodsystems solution (Hybrid/PBX) for coverage of the Operator (x100) at our Facility. Using Adjucts (7372-7379) I was able perform a Primary Cover for operator (x100...ring delay 1) and then inturn have coverage on the 8 Adjucts (7372-7379) for up to 8 phones. My challange is that the Coverage is ringing on the Adjuncts (7372-7379) but it seams when I cover the Adjucts I fail to COVER the "COVER x100" on the adjunct. I think this is due to Design. Did I miss something in your post dagwoodsystems?

OBJECTIVE:
I am attempting to have all the phones (aprox 40 extensions) in the office ring if the operator does not pickup up in X (3 or 4) amount of rings. Please know I have an Attendant (x773) kick in if the phone rings X (8 or more) times.

Possible Other Solutions?
1) Fwd Calls (with s/alert) to a Group, but i need ALL phones to ring...AutoAttendant might be an issue also.
2) Cascade Coverage (to get past 8 coverage limit), Challange w/ the 2nd level coverage, I msut be doing something wrong here.
3) Group Coverers...AutoAttendant issue?

The "illogical" Legend does not allow you to Cover the Cover in ANY flavor!

Thanks SYQUEST,

Does this holds true for the Magix as as isn't this just a Flavor of Legend?

Many thanks, chris.
