ring a 5540 console and an IP phone at the same time

Hi all,

system: Mivb MXE III (8.0 SP1)
is there a way to let incoming calls to ring at the 5540 console and an IP phone at the same time? since I cannot put the 5540 on a ring group, what are other options?

Only consoles can ring at the same time as other consoles.

I did find one crazy work around but you need Enterprise licensing and a Dynamic License (IP and EHDU)

I think you could do something with ehdu in an enterprise system using a loopback trunk

@jpruder - I can confirm your theory as that was the exact "crazy work around" that I was referring to.

It is limiting in that you would need an EHDU for each LDN on the console.
