I have a Windows 2003 Server running MF RF3. I need to create a very restricted desktop for a group of users and I've managed to disable everything except the control panel. The control panel icon shows up in the start menu and I can't seem to hide it.
I've tried restricting rights to the file control.exe but that didn't do a thing.

Alternatively, If I could disable the Start menu completely that would be even better.
Thanks
Michael

Hi,

Try using Local Policy on the server. This will allow you do configure what you ask.

To run it, try Start | Run | gpedit.msc

I'm presuming that it's the same in W2003 as in W2K.

Cheers,
Carl.
