CUCM 6.1

I am looking to incorporate Rightfax 9.4 with CUCM. We have an SR140 Dialogic virtual fax board in our Rightfax server. I understand that a SIP trunk has to be established between the two, but I need some guidance on how to configure everything.

We have a block for DIDs for our faxes (2400-2599). Can I drop this DID block onto our existing PRI's (already have DID blocks 6400-6999)? ...or do I need a separate PRI for Rightfax? I assume this can be taken care of with Route Patterns, but I'm just not sure how to approach this.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I am not familiar with Rightfax but as far as programming, build your SIP trunk then create a Route Pattern that covers your 2400-2599 DID's and point it to the SIP trunk.
Your provider should be able to point the DID block to an existing PRI but you really need to look at the utilization of the PRI to say if it is wise to do so. You would be pointing 800 DID numbers at 23 paths on a single PRI. It will work as long as the PRI is not already into high utilization number. use RTMT to watch the PRI for utilization or get a traffic study report from your provider.

I use xMedius and that uses H323. 350 fax numbers come in over 1 LD PRI. We have no fax machines any longer.
if Rightfax is simuliar you will need to set it up just as you would with setting up a site, Routes, trans patts, DP, ect

even with all those fax numbers the PRI % is low since most of the faxes stay on net and in house and just get sent through Outlook as an email.

Hope this helps.
