Right to change pers. data in GAL

Hi all,
Is there a way to give user the right to change their personal data (phonenr. address etc) in the Global address list? We use Exch5.5sp4 with outlook (98/00/02)clients.

I want users to be able to change addresses and phonenumber and nothing more. This would save me some time keeping all this data up to date.

Yes, the users can do this. There is a tool called GALEdit in the resource kit for Exchange i think. Try it out. It's very small, no need for install.

Slight correction - it's called Galmod.exe. Check out the Microsoft article on the subject, MSKB article Q242223.

We are running this at work and it works beautifully, you decide what the users can and cannot change.
