I am trying to get excel to access another application and copy a list of records. The only way to copy the records within the other application is to right mouse click i.e. there is n way to access it from the tool bar.

Does anyone know what code I can use to get the right mouse click menus to activate. I know that to copy it I can just use the send keys function and ^C but I need the mouse to right click first.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

What application are you copying from? There may be a better way than copying.
BTW you don't need to activate the right click to use ctrl+C to copy, but you must have selected everything you want to copy.

It is an application for Contact Centre management made by Rockwell so I doubt anyone knows about it but it is called Rockwell Commander.

Commander is not very keyboard friendly, you cant select stuff with the keyboard, infact you cant even select a range of records by selecting the first then pressing shift to get everything in between the first and last. You have to hold conrol and select each one.

The only copy funtions that I can find in the whole ap is by right clicking on the panel with all the records and there is a "Copy List To Clipboard" option and a "Copy" option for a single record. The only way to get there though is by right clicking - It SUX.

I think you will struggle with this one! There may be some VB Gurus out there who have a better knowledge of api calls than me that might be able to help, but it's a tall order!

Good luck.

Hi Dandas,

Is there any way to select the data you require from the data source that the Rockwell Commander is using.
