Hello all,
I have an issue with full outer join and right outer join options, which is not available to select (greyed out).
I am using two separate queries from the same data source, But when I try to do a FULL JOIN or RIGHT JOIN, the options are not available to select they are greyed out.
Now I have to use FULL JOIN, is there anyway I can enable those options and select FULL JOIN and what is the reason those options have greyed out?
Is there any resolution for this issue?
I am using MS SQL server and Crystal XI R2.

Thanks in advance!

There is probably an alternative approach, so you would be better off explaining what you are trying to do.

Thanks for the reply LB!
I am bringing expenses and revenues in two different queries and joining them on customer ID from both the queries, there may be a case when a customer has only expense or revenue. I need to display all the customers with expense or revenue or both, So I want to do a full join to get all the records from both queries.

I can do a Union query, But I just want to know the reason why the options are greyed out?

Thanks again!

You could just add a customer table and use a left join FROM Customer TO each of the other tables, with no selection criteria on the outer tables.

I don't think full outer joins are generally available--at least I haven't seen them available. I have never had occasion to use a right outer join, and have never quite understood the value of using them over a left outer join.
