When one right clicks on a web page, or email, the url comes up or just the address, How do you get the IP address out of that garbled' gook? I hope you know what I mean.
Thanks

I don't really know what you mean with 'rigth click a website' but if you want to know the IP of a website, just use ping If the solution is out there, let us know it was helpful, so others can benefit from it as well..

any IP you get from an email will be an IP at their mail server or web site, not of the individual. I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

If you mean right clicking using a Windows machine and then selecting properties, you can't get the IP address from what is displayed. As was pointed out, you can ping the site. I use Sam Spade to do digs, whois lookups, reverse DNS and all that.
