I have just received a used Compaq laptop with 98 Second Edition installed from the reconditioning company. When iexplore.exe is executed (Apr. 23/99), an MSN connection wizard comes up. Whu? I want nothing to do with MSN and don't want to go through the wizard to find that I am forever bound to some Microsoft product or protocol. I want only to set the properties for a high speed connection and use the browser (I don't even know yet what version came with 98-2). Is this some redirection by microsoft in the registry or did they name their MSN wizard by the same name as IE4 or 5 or whatever?
