Hi,

Does anyone know of a way to gain access through a PC/server onto the networked photocopier above? (I have the IP address) Is this possible? If not, does anyone know where the hard disk is located in the machine (so I can take it out and plug it into a PC myself!!)

I need to try and scan some documents into the self contained "Document Server", and then copy them to the network somewhere.

Many thanks to all for looking.

Regards

I am not familiar with Ricoh/Savin machines, but usually the manufacturer will supply software to accomplish this task (for a price). I would not expect you to be able to connect to the device with any other software.

Moving the drive to a machine to copy files is probably not going to work either:

1) The drive likely has an odd interface connection. Generally this kind of drive is a stock drive with the circuit board and connectors replaced with the copier manufaturer's own version.

2) The file system is not likely Windows compatible, even if you manage to get it connected.

3) The actual files are not likely readable by any software you have on your machine, nor is the software likely to be available.
