In my form I have a Richtext control. This is linked to a memo field in my table. When I add data to this field I can use different fonts and colors.

Now I like to make a report where this field shows a note. Sometimes there are a lot of data and the only way I can be sure to get it all on my report is to make a Richtext field that is big enough (not a good solution because what is big enough ?).

Alternative I can use a textbox in my report. This will offcourse not show my fonts, but I can set the property "Can grow" to yes - this will make the textbox control expand vertically when printed to fit text. The bad thing is that when I doo this, the textbox not only shows the text, but also all the formatting codes used by the Richtext control.

By the way - I'm using Access 97.

Any solution will help.

You could strip the characters that are your formatting from the field using a function that seeks them out and replaces them with your desired characters (in your case ""). I posted on this same type of issue here:
