Hi,

I want to add a Rich text box to my Access 2003 project but the only way seems to be to change a registry setting to enable the access RTF or use the RTF2 Control supplied by Lebans. Surely there's an easier way? Does anyone know of an easier or more straight forward way?

Thanks,

paullem

If Stephen Lebans has taken the trouble to address an issue with one of his elegant hacks, you can pretty well be sure that there isn't an easier way of doing it. Sorry!

How re ya paullem . . .

In form design view, from the menubar select [blue]Insert[/blue] - [blue]ActiveX Control[/blue]. An [blue]Insert AxtiveX Control[/blue] dialog opens. In the listing find and select[blue]Microsoft Rich Textbox Control X.X[/blue], then select [blue]OK[/blue].

Note: I've never used the control and not sure if its installed in 2003, however its a quick check that won't hurt.

Hi TheAceMan1,

Tried your suggestion and a message was displayed saying that this ActiveX control is not supported - worth a try!

Stephen Lebans RTF software looks very good but just wondered if a fix had been introduced since Stephen Lebans released his fix.

Thanks

I believe earlier versions of Access had a RichText box but Micorsoft stopped supporting it with Access 2000.

But, I have sleep sense then.

I have something you can look at and use. Its definitely a hack, but I'll mail you a copy if you want. I'd like to post it but I don't have any web space. If you're interested post your e-mail address and I'll mail you a copy.
