We have installed vxvm on our X-series boxes running RHEL V4 AS Update 5 64 Bit.
All works fine until the RaidMgr ( Software to log errors from the ServRaid card on the box which basically is hw raid for the OS disks ) utility starts up on the box ( The command from this startup script that seems to cause the problems is "/sbin/modprobe mptctl" )
Once this has been attempted all commands to vxvm then hang ( such as "vxdg list" )
Has anyone seen this sort of behaviour before ? Any ideas ?
