RH 8.0 and Lost connection to Mysql server during query

When trying to connect to MySql from other PC's, Error: 2013 Lost connection to Mysql server during query is returned. However I'm able to connect locally and am able to use the RH 8.0 machine to connect to other PC's running MySql.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
