I have been running RH 7 for about a year now with no problems. Recently, coincidentally timed with a episode of running 'up2date', my printer (local) quit working. Sometimes I can get one line of text that says something about PCL and some chars to come out of the printer, but other than that, nothing. Printtool will not run. When called from a shell printtool starts, displays the interface and starts dumping the following error back to the shell window,
"Error - couldnt find available devices in find_gs
this should not happen! "
I've never had to mess with the print stuff, so I don't know where to start. I'll be digging, but, if anyone has any ideas about where to start or likely causes for this sort of problem, I would appreciate a little guidance.
What files are involved?
Might this be fixed by re- installing a module?
