Here's a question...
I run 4 RH 7.3 machines with an interface engine loaded on them. What this means is mucho IO. Each of the machines has locked up for no apparent reason (had a kernel panic this morning, but I'm not counting that). Each time, I can connect to the machine type my user <enter> pass <enter> then it hangs even at the console. The machines are dual cpu with 4GB Ram. I've got 6GB swap. Nothing seems to add up. I see no errors in any log, it just stops.
The reason for the old OS is that the vendor does not support newer Linux OSs and HP only seems to support RH fully.
Any suggestions?
Thanks --- Mark
