i read a few reviews, which all claim that 7.1 is a rock solid OS, and they were a bit nervous about the new release 7.2...

What are the advantages of switching to 7.2? - Rusty

that's really individually, coz U can run a well secured box, based on sam rh5.2, and U can have an stupid , unsecure and based on rh 7.2

As a newbie in the linux world, what would the difference/best solution be between upgrading from redhat 7.1 (kernel 2.4.2-2) to rh 7.2 (kernel 2.4.7, if I remember correct) as opposed to 'patching' my current rh 7.1 to a newer kernel?

kjell.

thanks kjell, that was what i ment to ask. =)

TIA
