RH 7.2 PRINTING PROBLEM

Just installed Red Hat 7.2 and am unable to print. Jobs sent to the Epson 760 printer, even by cat-ting an ASCII file to /dev/lp0, results in 5 tries to print with 20 second timeouts between each try, then the job is removed from the queue.

I'm out of ideas - any suggestions appreciated.
