I'm confused about RGB color in InDesign vs. Quark. In Quark the values R:100 G:60 B:2 is an orange red color, but in InDesign it is brown! How is this possible? What am I missing here?

Also, using CMYK values if you use C:0 M:40 Y:98 K:0 it is almost the same in both programs, but the InDesign is less red than the Quark. Will these print differently even if the CMYK value is the same?

Check the color settings of the apps. Mkae sure that the rgb is set for the same in each. Try turning color management off in each and see if the rgbs look teh smae then.

As long as the cmyk values are the smae the print color should mathv as long as the color setting in both apps are the same. If the settings are different you may get some shifting.
