I am responding to an RFP with a team of about 4 people. This response is for a fortune 500 corporation and this is the first time we are hoping to do business with them

To personalize and differentiate us from the rest, we want to do something in addition to the regular response which includes the technical response and bio-datas of all members on the response. We want the potential client to get to know our team members better. Is there a suitable way to accomplish this?

Thanks

Having been the person leading product selection and sending out an RFP for a potential 7 figure software purchase I can honestly say I wasn't so much intrested in the people as much as detailed answers to my questions. If the product couldn't do something but was able to be customized to complete a function then that was important as well. If you answering an RFP to provide services then a background highlighting team members strong points and career accomplishments such as being published or having authored books.

Anytime you do an RFP it is best to stick with following the directions exactly. If you don't, your proposal is likely to be discarded before anyone except the purchasing agent reads it. Save the glitz for an in-person presentation if you are lucky enough to be a finalist and stick just to the facts inthe the actual RFP.
