Please help a noob. I currenlty have about 30 RF scanners on our network, all of which "freeze" from time to time. They will hang for anywhere from 15-60 seconds at a time. Once one gun hangs, it's contagious to the others. The RF console we are using is Radio Beacon. (No help on their site)I have looked at the servers when this occurs, and haven't seen any clues there. I don't think the problem is tied to a particular WAP as we have 9 of them and problems occur throughout our warehouse.
-Another piece to consider- we use VOIP phone system. All PC's, WAP's, a VOIP route through Cisco 2900, but will soon be swithing to 3750. My only though was possibly VOIP being prioritized over other traffic?

Hi

Sounds like a device is causing errors which is timing out the entire wireless system.
For the wireless devices, see if there is any pattern as to which one dies first, or if the one that dies has a low battery charge etc.
Another angle is to check your switches\routers and wireless access point for any errors - I don't mean the odd error, but a consistent erver increasing error count.
My only other thought is that with so many WAP's then there could be some conflict as to which Wap the device is going to connect to - sought of a fight between them if you like.
If you get that far then its probably time to get the experts in.

Regards

Dave
