Is it possible to load and run REXEC from a pc rather than from NT so I can send commands to a UNIX box?
I copied the REXEC executable from our NT box and when I tried to use it the reply is: "can't establish connection"

I want to run this command from within a vb program but I can't get the command to work!!

Am I trying the impossible?

I know that I can use ping and certain other tcp/ip utitilites so why not this?

I would talk to your Unix Admin. She/He will need to set it up so that you are allowed to run rexec from that PC as a particular user.
Mike
michael.j.lacey@ntlworld.com
<a href= Cargill's Corporate Web Site
