Hi,
We have a problem on server A (Linux machine) - this server hosts around 20 client websites, some times they all become faulty due to a continuous problem with Tomcat. To solve the problem we have to stop tomcat, kill the process and then restart...
We have a system in place thats called NimBUS from NimSoft. This application monitors the entire company network across four sites. This can tell when a webpage/site has become faulty and can automatically fix the problem. So it has been decided to use a rexec command on server B, which is a windows 2000 machine, to activate a script that has been written to correct the problem with Tomact. However I have never used rexec before and I am having problems.
Can anyone give me details on how I can use rexec, for instance basic command structure??
FYI - server A is in London and Server B is in Manchester.. Do I have to open any secure ports on the VPN?
Hope that makes sense!!
