I have the same problem. This happened after on of my tech used a bootdisk to change the admin password to blank.
I think it has something to do with the SAM file.
Have you removed the computer from the "active directory users and computers"? Try to reset first then delete. Remove the computer from the DNS list as well. If you're using DHCP, try deleting the leased IP address from that particular workstation...
Are there any errors in the event viewer?
