can anyone advise on how to correct "Unkown Revision Level"

error in 2000 when attempting to unjoin a domain and join a new workgroup or domain ?

I have the same problem. This happened after on of my tech used a bootdisk to change the admin password to blank.
I think it has something to do with the SAM file.

There's gotta be somebody that has a solution for this......

Hello?.......

Have you removed the computer from the "active directory users and computers"? Try to reset first then delete. Remove the computer from the DNS list as well. If you're using DHCP, try deleting the leased IP address from that particular workstation...

Are there any errors in the event viewer?

DOH!!!

When you are attempting to remove the computer from the domain, are you by chance logged into the domain as the domain administrator?

If so, log into the computer LOCALLY as the administrator.
