Hi all -

I am looking for reviews on those who have done a dynamic T1 into a PBX.

I am not talking SIP trunking via *any carrier* behind the data network back into the IPO.

I am referring more towards the Dyanamic T1 lines that are out there these days that dynamically allocate bandwidth as you use the voice circuit. Some providers offering this like XO, Qwest, Paetec and ATT. I"m going to expect a certain QOS once it leaves my network since I expect it will travel via vis QOS on the carriers transit for the most part till it hits the local switch/pstn.

I am debating between a dynamic T1 or integrated tdm T1

I am looking for feedback on these types of circuits and voice/sound quality - whether positive or not.

I've got a few customers that use them. The sound quality is OK, tend to get a bit of a chop every now and again, but it's better than cell quality.

Don't expect to use modems over those lines though. Faxes work OK, but modems will never negotiate.

My only real gripe (expecially with the PRIs that are delivered this way) is that the PRI only "exists" between the router/equipment and the PBX. The circuit to the telco could be down, but as far as the PBX is concerned everything is fine. Makes monitoring for T-1 and d-channel errors a bit difficult.

I have several and have not had any issue with voice quality, but have noticed the issue biv343 reports, it's annoying to troubleshoot.
