I’m having an issue with CallPilot 2.01 doing a Revert DN to various wireless carriers. The caller presses zero and the outside cell number (the Revert DN) rings just fine. The problem is if the cell phone goes unanswered. With some carriers/networks, the call will go to the cell voice mail if unanswered, and with other carriers, CallPilot comes back and says "Your command cannot be completed at this time, please try again later." On one carrier I’ve tested with, the problem is intermittent.

Someone suggested it may be an answer supervision problem on the carrier’s part, and that I might work around it to a certain degree by modifying the call timers on my Meridian to “wait less and dial now.” I don’t really know what that means, how to do it, or what else such a change might affect (Symposium, etc.).

I would very much appreciate any feedback anyone might have on this issue. Thanks!

i wouldn't change my timers unless there is no other way. 1st thing i would check is each of my vm agents.. make sure those stations (acqired) has the same ncos/tgar and cls.. if the problem is the carrier, open a ticket with that carrier.. one problem you may think about is security, the most common toll fraud is via revert from mail.. since your rpl's are allowing 9 plus, your going to get hacked.. the best way is a 9 plus block.. if you can't, restrict for at least 4 or five digits.. an allow 9 is a gift, allow 9431234 is a lot harder to get around..means an entry for each cell in the allow table but it means that your doing your part
