revert bad kernel to a known good one? 1

I have several kernels in /stand and need to revert back to a previous linked kernel the cmd "cp unix.good unix" does not work because the files are read-only does anyone know the cmd to do this?

Before the copy:
umount /stand; mount /dev/boot /stand
