Following is the procedure to revert back software updates.
Don't install with default settings.
Undermentioned are two changes u will have to made on the smit install_latest screen :
Commit software updates? No
Saved replaced files? Yes
These settings will save the replaced files when the updates are applied.
In future you can either commit the updates (smit commit), or revert them back (smit reject).
As soon as u use smit reject it automatically restores the original files.
**** It is advisable to take system (mksysb) backup before applying updates.
