Is there a way I can copy some frames from one .fla, paste them into another and then reverse them i.e. have it play backwards?

Thanks.

Select your frames, go to edit>copy frames

In the other movie, select your start point, go to edit>paste frames

Select the pasted frames, go to Modify>frames>reverse

Voila.

The only problem with this is that it doesn't play the movie backwards properly i.e. if theres a load of blank frames after a certain part, once reversed it doesn't put them before...hard to word that so if you don't understand I'll try to clarify a bit better.
It spins certain frames around but doesn't take into account where they should be if the movie is to be reversed.
So for example, I have ten frames at the beginning of a 50 frame movie. When I reverse the frames it doesn't put the ten frames at the end, it keeps them at the front but just reverses them there...thats a bit better worded...
Basically, it screws up whatever I reverse because they're not where they should be...

Any ideas?..

Use edit>cut frames to pick the reversed frames out then select the end of your 50 frame segment and use paste frames to insert them there.
