I have a list of names, by firstname thensurname (same column). I want to reverse to show Surname, firstname (same column), by using this formula
=RIGHT(B7,(LEN(B7)-(FIND(" ",B7))))&" "&LEFT(B7,(FIND(" ",B7)))
but i also want to add to formula to also change surname to upper case, but leaving first name in lower case. How do I insert this in my formula.

=UPPER(RIGHT(B7,(LEN(B7)-(FIND(" ",B7)))))&", "&LEFT(B7,(FIND(" ",B7)))

jmuscat,

As an instructor, I'm sure you will appreciate being advised of the "proper" method of "giving thanks and recognition" to those contributors who take time out of their busy schedules to help out.

The creators of Tek-Tips created the "STAR" method - much like the "STARS" awarded in school. It simply involves clicking on the "Click here to mark this post as a helpful or expert post!" - located in the lower-left-corner of the contributor's posting.

Because you don't have this post marked, I'll take the liberty of issuing Justin a STAR on your behalf, as you might not encounter this posting in the future.

If you do encounter this posting, please do NOT issue me a star for my "reminder". I want to "earn" stars in the normal manner. Thanks.

As an instructor, I know that you'll appreciate being advised of this "accepted practice" at Tek-Tips. I see from your profile that you're relatively new, and most newcomers are not initially aware of this practice.

Regards, ...Dale Watson
