Hello,

I'm trying to generate (reverse engineering) te create and overview of our Ora8i database.
I have set up a standard DB on my box (it's not all that big) and I've added a repository to it in another DB following the Repository Installation Guide that is available for designer 9i.
Now when I generate the scheme of the tables (with constraints, segments, ...) all goes well except... IT REFUSES to store the scheme in the repository. As a result I cannot commit the data and so when I shut down my box, I lose everything...

Below are the error-messages I receive right at the end of the storage-process.

I hope you can help me out...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Message
-------
RME-00020: Internal API error - ORA-01652: impossible d'étendre le segment temporaire de 5 dans l'espace table REPOS_TEMP

RME-00011: Operation 'ins' on KEY_COMPONENT has failed

There is not enough space in the database to extend the table REPOS_TEMP

Check you have lots of free space in all tablespaces.

ORA-01652 unable to extend temp segment by string in tablespace string

Cause: Failed to allocate an extent for temporary segment in tablespace.

Action: Use ALTER TABLESPACE ADD DATAFILE statement to add one or more files to the tablespace indicated.

It seems to have been the pctincrease that did the trick.

I already set the autoextend function on, but I never thought about the pctincrese. Once I set that to 0, it seems to pass OK.

Thank you all for your swift responses.
