reverse dns

Dear All,
I have got the win2k dns(primary) server installed on my mail server.And is is having public IP and it's working fine.I want to add reverse entry on my dns server.i have added the entry but if i do the check for reverse lookup it is pointing to my ISP domain name. Do i need to ask my ISP to update the records on their server?
