Reverse DNS port

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I think my firewall is blocking reverse DNS lookups. I am trying to determine what port that would use. Is it just 53? Or is there another port or ports that I should be allowing for reverse dns?

I think it uses the standard DNS port... please correct me if I am wrong..

Try using NSLOOKUP if you are using NT.... Mixed Linux/Win2000 Network Administrator
