I am considering a new POS for a small restaurant 3 terminals and am using MICROS and have no problems but as with the new policy need to upgrade the entire system aprox 5 to 6k. Freind of my suggest REVEL. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
I don't think Revel and Micros are in the same boat. Revel is an IPad system, very few features compared to Micros. For CCs you are using an aggregate, I would read up before doing that.
if you want the same features that Micros has, look at POSitouch, Aloha, Digital Dining and Squirrel. If you want something middle of the road, look at NCC or Dinerware.
The IPad and Android options out there don't have the features, not listed as PCI compliant and from what I see, most are in the red because they give it away.
Avoid systems that require you to do your credit cards through the same company. Not a bad thing if the dealer is connected to a processor as long as you can choose your own.
