Reusing 2003 disc?

I need to install norton antivirus 2003 on an outdated computer with a ME os (2005 and 2006 are too fat for this computer). Can I just use a used 2003 norton antivirus disc and buy a new license? Or will the previously used product key code not allow me to do that?
