When I reboot the logger, tape are ejected, sometime the tape have enough place to be use for 3-4 days of archiving. If I re-enter a tape how are a 30%, data will be overwritten or will continues at the next empty space?

Thank you

when a logger is shutdown normally i.e a controlled shutdown of the logger software a end of file marker is written to tape.

as long as the mode of the tape drive is in automatic archiving status the logger will archive from the last point when reinserted and will not over write.

Thank you, I'm not working with tape at all, since 2 years employees get a new tape after each reboot so about 2 / 3 tapes a week !!!

Have a great week
