Hi guys:
We are writing a map with a layer of Flash over a layer of html. Clicking any point on the Flash map takes you to an html page with details about that point on the map.
Our problem is this:
we need to have a 'you are here' identifier and guess it wil be a frame in the Flash movie. However, how can we move form the html layer to the flash movie and get the 'you are here' identifier in the right place?
in other words can we pass a message from html to Flash indicating which frame of a movie to pass to?
THanks in anticipation!

You can pass parameters into Flash via a query string so something like ' could carry the information over - then you need to write the parameter you're passing dynamically into the object/embed tag that holds the flash via a little javascript.

The value is then accessible to the Flash movie as a _root level variable and can be used to navigate to the frame you want.
