I have a query which every time I run it brings back a different number of records. How?
I have updated access and jet to latest versions. Am using Office 2000 Proffessional.
The query links to FoxPro DBF files as well as using acces tables.
Hmm.. are you changing the criteria? Are there any fields that would be affected by something like "last viewed", possibly some sort of date/time field?

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6 KJV
No. Have I done some very Simple sql tests. Same result. The problem is definitely the link to the DBF (foxpro) files.
I have indexed these records using a Access table. And the sql works fine when i using this table.
Help:Help:Help. I am now in a situation where these reports are being used for financial use. Let me re-iterate the problem.
1) Open the DBF tables using foxpro. Data fine.
2) Link from access to the DBF table
3) Do a simple select sum[customer_share] from access and the result is different every time.
4) I have tried using mdac 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.8.
I have the problem on win98, xp
every test i have done comes to the conclusion that it's a problem with access linking to dbf tables using odbc.
p.s. is that why microsoft took out the visual foxpro driver on xp??????????????????????????????????????????????
