returning an xml file from c#.net

I want to return an xml document from a cs.net file.
Can anyone point me to the standard .net libraries that I can use in order to do this?

i standardly build the XML using the XmlDocument object and output it to the response stream. this method gives me good control on the XML that i want to generate.

however if u want plain old outputting (leaving the tag structure to .NET) i would want to know what kind of info are u trying to output? as many objects come with XML outputting(e.g.: DataSet)...
